Our favorite time of the year is to gather as a family in a cozy cabin near Caberfae Peaks, and spend a couple of days snowboarding as a family. Because these are things that you love the most: Family + Snowboarding.
We opened presents at home, and then Teresa made a great Fondue Dinner (family tradition!) then we watched The Polar Express until midnight. We cuddled up on the floor, and no matter how old you get it's always welcome. The next day we went to see the Spider Man movie because we're awesome. Then we packed up and went up north to the cabin!
The first night, I could see obvious progression in your snowboarding skills. Hanna and Andrew joined us up there and they brought their musician friend, Hayden Huber. You were blown away by having a "literally famous!" person in your chairlift. You were flying down the hills like an expert. I could hardly keep up with your blazing speed... Where did this confidence come from??
Later that night we all went back to the cozy cabin. Teresa made yummy Chicken Chili and then we all stayed up late with the cousins, playing a new game (Werewolf!) with Hayden and Henry Huber. You were laughing so hard and we all had a blast! Hayden stayed up late talking with everyone about his deep knowledge of astrophysics, REM sleep, and physical energy.
The next day we continued the demolition of the snowboarding hills. We were surprised by Shawn and Noah Wolf, and everyone hung out together causing down the black diamonds. You continued to crush the mountain, even in icy conditions. I couldn't believe how much better you got since last year!
