Junior Year (11th Grade)!!

And so it begins. 

The fastest summer ever, has given birth to a return to the sacred halls of Holland High School. You are returning as a junior, in all of her glory and snark. Although you missed your friends over the summer, you were not looking forward to being stifled in a classroom. 

I asked you to describe your first day back to school. 

"Boring." 

Because of course it was. If you're not off climbing a mountain, rafting a river, chasing a bear, snowboarding the Swiss Alps, boating in a floating hot tub in Switzerland, or surfing in Mexico... you're bored. 

This year you have several friends as classmates in each of your classes, but that won't really alleviate the fact that you have a very challenging schedule, with weighted expectations and a "Top 10" academic pursuit. I celebrate your focus on academics, but not at the risk of losing your sense of adventure. 

Don't ever change! Climb those mountains. See the world! Chase your dreams!
